Whatever the future holds for the church, we will get there together or not at all. We are in the middle of what Phyllis Tickle famously called the church’s great garage sale that takes place every 500 years or so. We are figuring out what to keep, what to repurpose, and what to let go. And this process takes about 100 years, so those of us in the middle of it now, at the beginning of the 2020s, will not see the dust settle on what’s next. Church21st is about holding space, experimenting, and passing on to the next generations an agile and expansive faith, and the resources to create their own paths on their Way with Jesus.
